In the third picture it sure looks like there is a pea sized hole in the middle of that worn down area. Maybe its just the photo angle but i would do as advised and get the leak source repaired before taking the boat out again. Looks like a trailer/loading issue to me, how do you typically load the boat onto the trailer? as in whats your exact process.

OK, the keel is not touching the cross member, and if it was there is a thick piece of rubber on that cross member and it is not damaged. That damage is definitely from beaching (other marks prove it) and done by previous owner (as I said I took over that boat 4 years ago).
Once again, I didn't have water in that boat until the end of the last season and two days ago again.
I filled the boat with water today and leaned it forward and back and not a drop came out anywhere! I am totally puzzled now! Even tried touching the carpet where the boat is sitting on a trailer and that was bone dry too.

Is the boat an I/O? If so check the manifold for leaking when the engine is running.......had that problem before...boat was taking on water and never could figure out where until I took the doghouse off and watched it dump water into the bilge while it was running.....just a thought.

water pressure from running has finally worked open some larger voids in the laminate allowing water in. even if you find an entrance or exit spot, it may not be coming out the other side of the hull in the exact same spot. water can travel through fissures/cracks in the layup from the chopper gun and finally exit some distance away. fixing the hull from the outside is obviously necessary. i'd start there and then monitor water accumulation.

marine tex the hull and cover with a keel guard. pretty easy job....and find a better place to beach!

Ha ha, I am not beaching it at all,(previous owner obviously did) but will definitely fix the hull and do the keel guard.
And, by the way, the boat has an outboard.

This ^ The fact that you have an outboard definitely narrows down the culprits. Marine Tex applied per directions and a keel guard is the way to go. Even if that's not the source of the leak, you will have cleaned up that ugly looking keel. :)

if its an outboard i would be focusing on the transom and the keel. I once had an issue with water leaking in around the rub rail, took me awhile to find that one.

OK, found he culprit! I am posting this so others can save some time.
At the back of the boat where cap and the bottom meet behind a plastic trim. This area is apparently siliconed and that silicone was gone. I reapplied a good bead of marine silicone and my problems are gone!

Silicone will not last. On that I would have used SIX10 or 4200 or 5200. Although not below the waterline you may have 5200 around, 4200 would have worked fine. SIX10 is a marine epoxy and would have sealed it best.
