Hope someone can help me out here... I'm looking for a Power Head for a '68 Johnson FD-22M 10Hp. Just started tearing down one that I bought in Florida before moving up here to Illinois. Wanted to check out the PowerHead, Impellor, and Prop Shaft Gears. After much struggling I got the PowerHead off only to find 2 cracks in it that I don't like and it also looks like P/O's never took it apart; screws and holes are corroded like no tomorrow; have already snapped 3 screws and am not a happy camper. Crank Shaft wobbles like I haven't seen before, pistons look good, but don't like the corrosion, cracks, and wobble. Trying to get this up and running for fishin' season the end of March.

EDIT: Sorry, Bob. Our rules do not allow soliciting for a private transaction. Try the salvage yards listed in the Top Secret File. ^^

Thanks so much!!!

Bob

Hi bassin' I think you've got some numbers mixed up. If it's an FD model its an 18/20 hp. If it's a QD model it's a 10 hp as you described. Double check and let us know.

What you need to do is put a wanted ad in the webvertize section of the aomci.org, they dont like soliciting for parts here. You will need someone local to you, or shipping will be costly. Powerheads are not light. I have one, but would cost a small fortune to ship it to you.

Other options are the salvage yards listed in the Top Secret Files.

Ditto. I have a power head for an FD-19 that would probably work, but it would probably not be worth it to ship :/ Thankfully, I believe power heads from most FD models will work, so you should have some options.
