Help Needed

I have a 2005 2601 SeaSwirl WA/HT. Recently, after several days of rain, I noticed water on the cabin floor. I turned on the stern bilge at it expelled quite a few gallons of water.
I am not sure how and why that much water would have gooten in the bilge. The boat should be self-bailing. Has anyone had a similar problem? Any advice on what to do?

Re: Help Needed

Couple of questions for you - was the boat on the trailer or in the water? Even though the boat may be at a dock there is no way to keep all of the rain from entering the bilge. The deck hatches are not waterproof nor watertight.
From the sounds of it you either left your bilge pump off or your float has gone south. Something to look at very carefully.

If you had the auto bilge on, I would check the float swith or adjustment. Or if you had a battery switched off.

Thanks for the advise. The boat was in the water when the problem occurred.
