Unless you are good with a sewing machine the cushions and seating will cost you that much or more. At this point it's the stringers, transom and drive package that needs to be checked to see if it's even worth starting on. Rip out the rest of the plywood and start checking for rotten wood. Do a search on core samples as that's the best way to see what's left of the wood. Call your friend and get as much info as you can about the engine and drive. How long has it been sitting. Was the boat winterized before it was parked. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but unless the wood is good and the engine runs well you are more in the #2 area than you are in the diamond area. Most guys here won't klik on thumbnails so when you post pics make sure they are 640x480.

Cool..she has a 6 banger I6...
When is the last time the motor ran?
That rusty spark plug on the thermostat housing scares me! lol

I have no idea the last time the motor ran :( My friend "turned it over" a week or so ago....it didn't blow up, so I'm guessing that's a good thing.

My husband is supposed to look over the motor once the holiday's over.

Thanks for the tip! I have been known to sew from time to time. The motor has me scared though. We'll see this week!
