Re: HELP!!! no power under load oil in the bilge!!

So was it the head gasket? cracked head/block?

its the head gasket thats blown between 3-5 my mech. told me most likely one of the valves is burnt too.Sooooo after a Complete inspection and compression test on all cylinders( 119-125 psi on 6 of the cylinders) we came to the conclusion it would be cheaper to replace the motor rather than hassle with tearing it down and replacing just the heads if the bottom end is tired.
We run the the risk of blowing out the bottom end of the motor while under load. So a motor swap is in the works  I will post up pix of the motor swap as it happens so stay tuned.....................
hopefuly this will help other DYI'ERS that may be in the same "boat" :D
