I am lookingfor some help. I know this is not the correct area to post this, or at least I think .
I have a 1973 Sea Star T674 16' foot tri hull, with 75 hp Evinrude. I need to know if this boat really exists, can't find it nowhere on the internet, and if there is any place I can get a manual on how to repair the hull and some supports in the hull. I have the title, but I know title can have mistprints and also other errors. Any information or an help at all with be great appreciated.

cecilcoy, I can tell you for a fact that the boat in ? does indeed exicst. I have the same model as you. The company that made them was Glastex, out of buisness since the early 80's. I have looked several places for the same info as you with no luck so far. From my experiance with replacing the floor, transom, ect,it was a learning experiance. I am now to the paint portion of the project. Let me know if I can assist anymore.

Well, the biggest thing is removing the shell to get to the floor supports. I know it is not going to be easy, but can it be done with out the fancy equipment that most boat restorers would have? I have 6-10 friends who think we can get it off without the come-a-longs.

73Glastex here is more information on our boats that I found.
Information on Manufacturer
Glastex went out of business in 1981. They were bought out by Freedom Boats (makers of Mach1 boats). Freedom Boats went out of business in 1997. The molds were bought by Kyte River Boat Company. But they went out of business in 2003. SOME of the molds were sold to Luxor Marine, LLC in Mound House, Nevada. Luxor is a semi-custom builder of boats, boat parts/accessories, and motorcycle accessories.

Manufacturer Abbreviations
Glastex GTX
Freedom Boats FLI
Kyte River Boat Co EZY
Luxor Marine LLC LXL

When I picked up the top I used the same engine hoist I used to pull off the engine. On mine there was fiberglass tape holding the top to the hull. I supported the top with 2x6's and slid it forward on the hull far enough to replace the transom. Then put it back before I re-instaled the floor. I'll be hanging the engine tonight, then put it in storage till warmer weather. I have seen all the differant companys that you have listed but info is sparse on all of them.
Info seems to be quite limited for some reason. You and 73Glastex are about the only other owners I have come across and I have only seen a handfull for sale on the net.
For repairs, I would recomend picking up
Runabout Renovation: How to Find and Fix Up an Old Fiberglass Speedboat by Jim Anderson
and
The Fiberglass Boat Repair Manual by Allan H. Viatses
They cover everything that you would ever need to repair and restore a fiberglass boat.
