Hi,
I used rattle can paint (spray white enamel) on my 16' fiberglass boat. I found a good deal on Perfection (white) and Brightside (blue). For prep do I need to remove the old paint (if so how?) or is sanding and a prime coat O.K.?
Thanks!

Well rattle can is not the way I would go since it always tends to look blotchy. If you have paint on the boat now just lightly sand it and wipe it down real good. No need to remove the old paint unless the rattle can paint starts to lift the old paint!! Do a test spot.

What he said

Sand off gloss of old paint and also sand down any runs or blotches. Here's a link to a Interlux youtube "how to video", http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM-R2_Awgeg this is just one of many on youtube.

Good luck and take pic's
