Help, on the fence; Floor, belly tank??

Well I'm on the fence on this one. I'm going to mess around until the belly tank is sold, or the 25 gallon above deck aluminum tank is gone, or both are gone.

Here is my dilemma; I found a belly tank that I THINK will fit under the floor on my Offshore 18'. I found an aluminum 20 gallon tank for $25.00, used.

The floor is rock solid. However there appears to be a new floor over top of the original. The new floor may be treated, I can't tell offhand. The carpet is newish but really thin. I scuffed a hole in it just by vacuuming the inside of the boat to remove wood chips.

Part of me wants to pull up the floor(s) and carpet and put in a belly tank, new floor and rubber/vinyl flooring.

The other part of me wants to finish the wiring, fire up the motor and splash this boat. Do the floor next year, fish this year.

What do you guys think?

Finish the wireing,and ues it. Makes a great Fall or Winter project IF you have a clean and warn area to work.

I woud consider a new polly tank over a used alum one. Have fun fishing.

I think you know where I stand on this one...go fishing and the deck can wait a few months

Going to look at the aluminum 20 gallon gas tank (above deck) in the morning. Sometimes I need a good push to going again.

I'll get this tank and get her going. This winter I'll address the floor and possible belly tank. I can fab up a tank out of stainless if need be.

Bought the 20 gallon tank. The guy has a belly tank for dirt cheap too. I'll get it sometime this week and put it in next summer.
