Hi all,
I recently bought, what was represented as a 1993, 200hp V6. The serial number is 0D014384. I want to buy a factory service manual, and this serial number doesn't match anything on the listings. The id tag is clean and clear. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks,
Gerry

Go to Mercury Express.com and check it out. Off hand I would have my doubts about being a 1993, but an earlier 90's,(maybe 91-92) engine as the 89-90 numbers were OC #'s. The OEM manuals will typically cover the 135-200 hp engines

gss036 and Daytona 21; Thanks for the info. This will make things much easier.

Don S; As a matter of fact, that is where I bought it. The previous owner had it serviced there and traded it on a new Optimax. That was about a 350 mile (one way) trip for me, but the fact that they knew the motor helped.

Again, Thanks to all. This is very helpful, at least now I can get some service/parts manuals.
