Help Please

I have a Mercury 9.8 hp i sprayed carb clearing in the card it starts for a few seconds an then i cuts off again. can anyone please help me out tell me what i need to do. Thanks

You need to clean the carb.

First, find out if the carb is the problem. It seems clear that fuel is the problem, but is it the carb, fuel pump, lines, tank, or what?

Go to Engine FAQs and do "Outboard won't start".
