Help,Remote control wires cut at console for 89 merc 25hp. Where do they go ????

I am redoing an 89 tracker with 25 hp merc with remote control wires that ran to the console. The deck and console were rotted so I cut the wires at the console , not thinking of what they were connected too. I threw out the console with starter/ choke switch into the garbage along with deck. I need some help with a diagram or some indication where these wires connect. I will have to get a new key/starter/choke switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need a switch specifically for outboards. Tell me if this helps...<br /><br />red or red/purple - (Battery) positive<br />black - (Magneto) ground<br />black/yellow - (Magneto) kill<br />yellow/red - Start<br />purple - Accessory<br />yellow/black - Choke<br /><br />Most switches have letters near the terminals. The capital letter on the function side of the chart indicates which terminal. There will be 2 M terminals. It doesn't matter which one gets which wire (black or black/yellow).
