I just picked up a 89 Mariner from the terminal, when I got it home and opend it up the TRACK that the shifting linkage attaches to and slides on is broken on the lower half. So when it is on the track remaining it will shift into gear, but shift it the oppisite direction and there is no track it just falls off. I dont know what this part is called, if it is a part of the engine sens it bolts directly to the block, or if it came with the controls?? Where can I find one?? What is it called?? How much $$$???? And how much should I expect to be charged from my dealer to install this engine on my boat that previosly had a Force 125hp on it of the same year??

Re: HELP, Shifter broke

go to mercruiserparts.com and look up your motor and find a pic and a part number. then take it to your local junk yard or mercury dealer and say " hey, bud, over here! i need this, and i need it now!"<br /><br />then they will take your hard earned cashola and youll be on your way!
