Help starter issues

I purchased a mark twain early 70's shortly after the starter failed i need to try and find a replacment . The current setup is a seprate solenoid and starter setup. The engine plaque seems to indicate its a ccw engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 2 bolt possibly prestolite the engine is a merc 470

I would go with a modern version, with a starter mounted solenoid. Like this Way less expensive. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw...er&_sacat=0You simply connect the battery red wire (may need to buy a new battery wire with the proper end) to the solenoid and use the wire from the slave to activate the starter solenoid. You may even go with a permanent magnet gear reduced starter (even better) for it.
