Help! Stripping 30 year old Glue!

Im fiberglassing my dog house this weekend.
I stripped off the old vinyl, removed at least 400 staples and have sanded it down.

The problem Im having is on the sides, heavy amounts of glue were used to keep the vinyl on. Sanding just seems to gum the glue up even more.

Can I epoxy over the glue remnants?

If not, has anyone had good luck removing 30 year old glue remnants? What should I use? I tried tru-strip and goo b gone, neither of them had any effect.

Im hoping I can just epoxy over it, because im sick of prep time, but if its gotta be stripped, its gotta.

What works for you?

Im standing by waiting for answers. Thanks a lot.

Anyone know if I can epoxy over the glue remnants? Will it effect the epoxy?

Thanks

Well I know it works on old paint so it might be worth a shot on old glue Citristrip available at homie desperate or Lowes.

Maybe try carb cleaner. Be careful though as I'm not sure if it will hurt fiberglass or gelcoat because it will eat paint and melt vinyl flooring.
