The Regal is a WAY better constructed boat than your Maxum, you're fortunate to have been trouble free. For the minimal cost differential, I'd jump on the Regal while your Maxum is bringing good trade value.

I agree with dockwrecker especially if you can afford it and it makes the admiral happy.

Thought I should provide an update to this thread. After a lot of careful consideration, I passed on the Regal deck boat. The price was right but when it comes down to it, I prefer the bow rider ride and profile a little more. But, the saga continues - I am now going for a lake test in a 2011 Chaparral 206SSI Friday. I started another thread today asking for any "reviews" from anyone that might be familiar with that boat. Thanks for all the input guys, appreciate it.
