Help! Toon pulling to the Right.

My second run on the new motor and found out the toon is pulling to the right,how can I fix this?

You can adjust the trim tab just above the prop. It may help some. If the boats pulls right turn it to compensate to the right. A little at a time to test how much to adjust.

Turn it in the direction the boat is turning. The force of the water rushing past it will want to turn the engine in the opposite direction. What size engine and type of steering do you have?

Think of it like a rudder. With the motor down and your head above the prop turn the tab so the face of it turns right. From the top it would be clockwise.

Most boats do pull to the right,because your prop is a right turning prop.It turns clock wise.

Sorry about that should have told you the motor size,I took off a 45 Merc and put on a 70 horse Johnson, I am thinking the extra torque from the 70 horse may be the cause.

My old toon did this. Adjusting the trim tab helped, but I had to find just the right motor trim to completly get rid of it. Turn your tab, then fiddle with the trim next time your out. You should be able to find a position where it is just right.

I adjusted the tab as you guys suggested,it seemed to help but I was to close to the boat ramp to get the full effect of the toon at wide open trottle.

Like Nightfisher said, try trimming the motor out. Makes a big difference in how the motor pulls...

Made a long run with the toon,Fixed,Fixed, Fixed toon does not pull to the right anymore had to adjust the tab all the weight clockwise.
