In this thread: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=148358 the poster had the Force 85 with two ignition modules, and one of the outputs was bad on both modules... he replace one but the problem remained.

I have the exact same problem, and I need to find out what the problem actually was... anybody have any ideas what would cause one of the two outputs on both modules to fail?

Re: HELP! TWO bad ignition modules???

The Force 85 is a three cylinder engine. One module uses two outputs the other module uses only one output. This means you only need one module with two outputs! If one output is working, use it to fire #3 cylinder. Replace only one module and use it for cylinders #1 and #2.

Chuckz, thanks for the idea, but I've already tried that! The link above is from a thread in 2001 where ONE of the outputs was bad on BOTH modules--meaning only TWO firing outputs--and I have the SAME exact problem. The orange output on the front module is bad, and the red output on the rear output is bad. From what I could tell, the original poster replaced the stator and modules and was going to try replacing the trigger, but the thread ended and I'm not sure what to try--I've tested the trigger output on one of the working module inputs and got a spark.
