Help! I'm absolutely stuck with an old Volvo Penta 280 Outdrive. I've removed the Upper Gearbox with ease, but even after removing all the bolts that are supposed to be holding the intermediate and lower housings together, I can't seem to separate them. Have any of you run into this, is there any special trick to separate the intermediate from the lower?

Thanks again guys.

Bob

How many bolts did you remove? All the bolts could mean all you found. Should be 7 total.

There are 4 large bolts that you get too from underneith. Then 1 smaller one that is on top, and then the two that are inside the shift cover.

Thanks! I got the 4 large ones the one smaller, and the two under the shift cover, so it looks like 7, but the thing still wont budge!
