help wanted please

Hi people <br />i would like to ask a couple of questions if thats ok <br /><br />does anyone have a picture or two of a 1996 evinrude 50 hp <br />i am looking at buying another boat that has this motor on it and would like to see what im buying before travelling to the country (down south) to buy it<br /><br />the second question is does anyone have any idea what these notors are like reliability wise <br />i have had a look through the posts and so far have found that they can fowl plugs but thats about it <br /><br />any advice would be appreciated guys <br /><br />thanks Vanpyre

G'Day, Vanpyre.<br /><br />No worries. The engine was a great one when new. If it has had good care it should still be a great engine.<br /><br />Fouling plugs is something any 2 stroke outboard may do depending on use, tuning and maintenance. It is not a "characteristic" of that engine.<br /><br />Because this is not a repair/trouble question I am going to move it to General Outboard.
