HELP Where does the knife disconnect on an Evinrude 1978 55hp go?
Number 19 on the diagram at http://www.**********/parts/search/BRP/EVINRUDE/1978/70873C/IGNITION%20SYSTEM/parts.html


I didn't see it on the wiring harness that was on the boat engine originally or in the wiring diagram :-/ . Any pictures you guys could provide would really be helpful!!!

Can't get your links to work.
What color is the wire, tan or brown?
The only place I can think of on your engine that might use a knife connector is on the temp sensor, there should be a rubber sleve that covers the connection, see #78 &79 below.
