i just bought a 19ft cobra with a 150hp force. i put a new water pump on the motor and could start it with starter fluid but had to keep it full throttle to keep it going . then fornd a blown head gasket and changed it and now it will not start at all. it tries but still nothing but a hope and the only thing i can think of is the stator is bad i dont see any bad wires ..... and i have no manual, diagram, or serial number on the motor..

Do you have spark?
Is the compression good now?

What about fuel delivery to the cylinders?

You really need a manual to troubleshoot.

Also spraying starter fluid into a 2-stroke is damaging. It washes away all the oil that is in the engine and will lead to internal damage. You should use a spray bottle with fuel/oil mixture instead.
