Help with 14ft fiberglass

Hey guys I just purchased me a project.14ft fiberglass Vhull boat.Registration says it is a Sea People but cant verify that on the net yet.It is 46" wide inside bottom and has 3 bench seats with the front one removed.The tops of the 2 benches are a little soft.Seem to be all fiberglass with no wood underneath them.I want to add plywood to the top of them to help with support.What do I need to apply to the plywood if anything?I have cut out 1/2" treated plywood already just havent attached it yet.Any suggestions?This will be just a beat around fishing boat.Seems pretty stable in the water.I can get pics if it will help..Thanks

Polyester Resin i did 2 coats on each side but you might not have to do that much
