help with a 1969 115 jonny!!!!!

1969 115 jonny,went out water sking this weekend,after about an hour, hour and a half,the kids wanted to kneeboard.we rigged up for kneeboarding got ready to give it a go.......then it happened........it felt like it wouldnt "take the gas"i put it in nuetral reved it up a little then it seemed to be alright when we went to kneeboard it did this a couple of times more.it runs awesome but every once in a while this problem comes up.new plugs fresh gas vent opened,whats up with that?has anyone had this problem?any ideas what it could be?i dont think its anything major but would like to figure it out.any help would be greatly appriciated thanks in advace!!!!!!!!!!!<br /> ***1971 winner 1969 115 jonny***\<br /> "THURSDAY"

Hi Spike. Really sounds like something floating around in one of the float bowls or a fuel feed/lose connection type problem. Can you tell us any history on the engine like the last time the carbs were over hauled and the fuel lines replaced? And how's the ignition system...good spark to each cylinder and compression good?

thanks for the reply obj...i bought the motor from ledgefinder 3 years ago it was a rebuilt.it is always maintained to the best of my abilty ive never had a problem.i think your on to something with the fuel line .i have replaced one of them(two tanks).im going to change out the other.also ive had a similer problem last year and i found one of the fuel lines on the motor itself was held on by a zip tie.im going to check all fuel lines again.i also noticed this weekend pass that the fuel line connecter fell off the motor at the motor so inm gonna check this out also .i was basically looking for any other ideas what it could be and im preety sure its air getting in from somewhere.the motor runs awesome it just did that a couple of times.so once again thanks for all and any help.im checking this a lunch aand will post back if i find something wrong. thanks and sorry for the long post,<br /> ***1971 18"winner 1969***<br /> "THURSDAY"
