Help with a mounting bracket for kicker motor??

I have a 21' alluminum jet boat. I need a good bracket to mount a kicker motor on (4 stroke 9.9 Honda). Any suggestions other than OMC? They seem to have a monopoly on this deal...

Do you want a fixed postion or a unit that allows you to pull the motor up out of the water?

I would really like to get the motor out of the water so when I am running white water the motor is not in the way. The guy wanted 500$ for an OMC bracket. I was looking in Cabela's and found some CMC? Not sure if they are any good. What are the alternatives?

Hi Jason,<br />CMC makes quality lifts. I've been happy with all that I've installed and used myself.<br />There are other brackets out there to use, but it sounds like you need a heavy duty one<br />for river running. So I would use a engine jack rather than a trolling engine bracket.<br />I watched engines break off of peoples boat<br />going in rough water. It's a sad site. Lock it on with a cable when not useing it.<br />...have fun...corm
