Re: help with boat names

Wow, some creative folks in here! Haven't named mine yet. Hard to compete with these cool jobs... I'm a software developer (yawn). And incorporating my last name into it isn't feasable since I'd take up half the boat just for the super-long moniker I'm stuck with.

Hmmm.... something cool-geek-ish... hmmmm...

For the software developer...and this might be a stretch...

~What are the chances your boat has an inboard/outboard? (I/O...stay with me)
~You could name your boat "Binary".
~~ For the non-geeks...binary is the coding made up of 1's and 0's. Therefore, 1/0 (binary), I/O (inb/outb).

Nevermind...I got nothing...

I/O works on a few levels.
I/O = Input/Output (geek)
I/O for Binary works (geek)
I/O = I Owe (if I had an expensive boat)
but, I just have an outboard.

I was going to mash the names in our family and came up with Devlislada.... WTF? Even when you're sober it sounds like drunkeneese.

Then I hit one that I think will stick: Code Blue

I write "Code" for a living, and my boat is every imaginable shade of Blue.

Re: help with boat names

Everyone has come up with good names... I just bought my first boat a couple weeks ago. Its a 18ft Bayliner Bass Boat... I Delv. Gasoline for a living and Deer hunt as well... I lost my father a couple of years ago and if I do something in memory of him then he was a Officer in the Marine Corps (Retired Captain) served with 4 diff. Fighter groups and loved to hunt and fish. The Fighter Squadrons were: VMFA 232 Red Devils, VMFA 323 Death Ratters, VMFA 251 Thunderbolts and VMFA 312 Checkerboards (All during the time when they flew F4 Phantoms). The boat color is blue with silver metal flakes.

Anyone got ideas on this one...

This is an old thread, as per rule #12, it has been inactive for over 3 months. If you want suggestions for your own boat name, start your own thread instead of hijacking someone else's. Thanks.
