So I was in the prowl for popups since it is better to move to one rather than to the dog house when the girlfriend kicks me out of the house! LOL! Just kidding. Anyway, I got me a 1998 Dutchmen 1204. I will post pictures when I can but you can look it up in this brochure: http://dutchmen-rv.com/media/documents/archives/OlderLit/2000/2000 Dutchmen Classic & Voyager FD.pdf

Anyway, first thing Im looking are for recommendations for good online stores with good prices. For those of you in NC a good local recommendation will also help.

The guy that had this pop up before knows less about it than I do and I have no documentation so some of the process to set up that I am using might be incorrect so if anyone know a good site with generic set up that will be great.

Someone took the oem ac unit which looks like it worked with the furnace and installed a small unit which has no problems cooling the popup but apparently killed the furnace so I am working on trying to find all that was done. If im lucky enought to have someone here with the same unit and could take pictures of their ac/furnace set up that will be great. I could not get the water heater to turn on either. When I tried to turn on the pilot I could see the flame from my lighter react to the line being purged but then the flow stopped. Wonder if something clogged the propane. BTW, both units are propane. The propane grill started without problem once the air was purged off the line. All these units share the same line and i could not see a valve anywhere inside of the camper or outside to shut the units individually. I do see where all the lines meet and run to the individual locations. The unit also had a little of water damage on the ceiling and I will tackle that later. There is no obvious sign where the water came in and it is in a very weird location. All there is in the ceiling is the vent that is all the way to the other side. my guess is that the water is leaking from the side. I have a tarp that fits perfectly over the top and I dont even have to take it off for setup. Will have to take it up for trailering. Again, that is something I will do later but if anyone has any pointer or a site that works like ours here as far as restorations that is great.

Thanks guys!

You might want to join Pop Up Portal and/or Pop Up Explorer. Lots of good info there.

You'll find much information here:

http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/listings/forum/25

Check out the rest of the site for more info. It's an RV/Good Sam club forum that you'll find valuable.
Regarding the propane issues, it might be that a wasp has built a nest in the orifice. They like the smell of the propane! But, it could be other things as well.
For supplies you can check Camping World - although they are not necessarily inexpensive - but they will have "it".

Many of those water heaters will cut the gas if it does not light the first couple of tries.
Is there a wire going into the gas tube?
Most newer units do not have a pilot light. They are electric start.
Is there a water heater panel in the camper. It will turn green when lit.
If it is red just wait a bit and turn the heater back on.
Mine takes several tries after setting all winter.

If it was winterized the heater tank should be empty of water.
There should be a bypass valve behind the tank to turn the water back on to the tank.Usually accessed from inside the camper.
