I am replacing the transom on a 14' fiberglass boat. I see all the "marine epoxys" online for upwards of 100.00 per gallon (with hardener). They usually are mixed 2:1 Resin/Hardener. Yet I see at Lowes they have 3M epoxy for 32.00 per gallon. It comes with a gallon of resin and a small tube of hardener where you just use like 20 drops of hardener per quart. Is this type of epoxy no good for boat fiberglass applications?
