Well after almost having a heart attack when looking back to see NO WATER comming out of pee-hole while crusing 15 miles accross sound today, I did see plenty of water comming out of exhaust and it was just warm like usual. I got boat home and low and behold. I found that our local Washington wild bees (similar to small mason bees. ) had layed eggs in tiny pee hole and sealed it. witha pulp like substance. STRONG STUFF! I was able to use a piece of wire to clean it out. Now water comes out fine again.

The problem I am having is that I smell gas almost always. I see it after I park boat seep out in a very small quantitiy on bottom of prop and drip down skeg keel. I opened motor and see a layer of gas in yellow tray and bottom of motor. I was told to hook up gas and tilt motor forward to prime carbs to start easiier. Dont know if thats what its from. It seems if I turn motor off and tilt motor forward that gas may be leaking out front of carbs if I leave fuel connection intact. Am I nuts. Are these motors finiky about leaking if leaned forward. I did touch and and smell fluid dripping down keel and it is gas oil mixture. Maybe just from flusing motor and comming out exhaust.

What do you think.
By the way, set pitch at 19 on my 1250 lb 17ft glasspar and its top speed is now 35. motor strong!
