Help with hooking up CD Module

Another thread indicates how I reversed the poles on the battery and fried my CD unit. I found a new CD Module never used old stock at a local dealer (lucky). I went to hook it up but think I'm doing something wrong.

I hooked the red/white/blue wires up correctly on the terminal block as I had it written down where they went exactly. My distributor has one contact point, so it is a breaker point. I believe the white wire with black stripe from cd unit goes to the distributor contact point. However, I had a short black wire with an eye on each end hanging there from the distributor contact point, (like the one that came with my CD module) not sure where that goes.
The cd module has two other short wires, one greyish that went to the + side of the coil the other black, that went to the - side. Then I have another short wire ground I assume that goes from neg (-) side of coil to I guess a ground on the distributor.

Turned the key last night, heard the choke solenoid engage, but when I turned the key, nothing- sounded like the starter wanted to turn but nothing happened. Something isn't right. My manual (seloc) doesn't have a clear breakout of hooking up this CD unit- hopefully I didn't destroy something else in the process of reversing the cables.

On e-bay: look up Force outboards. You might find the what you need. Then look for the manual/CD for that motor.
If you can't find it there maybe someone has it and can post a copy of the wiring diagram.
Seloc/Clymer leave a lot to be desired. If you can't find it let us know I might have that manual in storage.Jerry

Thanks, Jerry. I got it running. I had a freshly charged battery, reading 12.3 volts, 12.3 at the rectifier, -12 at the starter, but the starter would only buzz. So- just by chance I put in another battery that I recently purchased. That flywheel spun quite a bit faster and she fired right up! Ran great with the new CD module. Once it was running, I tested the rectifier, it was putting out 13.6 or so looks like when I crossed the battery, I didn't fry the rectifier which I'm happy about- already have $250 for a new CD unit. Now, my batteries are painted red on the + side.
