!!!!!Help with info for my glastron!!!

Hey everyone, newbie here just got my first boat. I got a 1982 Glastron T-160 with a Mercury 90 hp on it. I cant find any info anywhere on these boats. I am trying to find a winshield frame for it and everywhere I look on the web it refers to a gt-160. This is not a gt-160. Does anyone know anything about them. Im assuming they werent a very popular boat but Im am totally new at this. Any help would be hot. I did a search and didnt come up with anything really.

Windshields for older boats is generally a problem. If you have the frame, a glass or plastics shop can often rebuild it. But you say you are looking for a frame, and that makes things harder. iboats sells complete replacement windshields in the marine store, they are not exact replacements, but common styles that will fit with little or no modification of the boat. The other option is to build your own or have it custom built. Search the net and you can find some shops that do custom boat windshields. Sometimes you can find windshields on e-bay and craigs list that will fit your boat.

Photos of the boat will help get you better advice.

There is another forum at http://www.classicglastron.com/. The guys on that forum are Glastron enthusiast and may be able to help. As mentioned above, if you don't have a frame, then you need to get lucky on with a used frame or start pricing a custom job.

One more option you might try is to contact Glastron directly. I needed some information on my Glastron, I sent them an email and within three or four days they were back with me with a part list an some other info. You may have tried this already but if not they were really helpful to me.

Look up used boat dealers some of the boats they take in are not worth anything and they part them out, the one I use here in Atlanta has all parts separated and you just have to pick out what you want.
