Help with Johnson year

So my Dad just bought an older Johnson super seahorse thinks it is a 33 hp. doesn't know the year and would like to find out. He says the model # is 18B and the serial is C452393 I have looked all over looking for the year and cant find anything. I was really hoping someone here can help!

That is not the complete model number. You need the two letters preceeding it. If there were such a thing, an RX-18B would be a 33hp--BUT they don't go up over RX-16 (1968). On the other hand, a RD-18 would be a 1956 30hp.

As you can see, we need the rest of the model number.

Good ole' engines. Basically just a revival of the 1957 35hp. The 28s in those years are basically revivals of the 1956 30 hp's. I think these motors were introduced with older left over parts and newer style of cowlings. You'll notice that they are the single wall construction, like the 30-35hps prior to 1958. Excellent engines and easy to work on. I think they were rated lower in horsepower than the earlier counterparts, because they had the two ring pistons, versus the three ring, hence, lower compression.

Ok I guess my old mans eyes are not what they used to be....The model # is RXE 13B
Any help with year would be great as we need to order some parts for it.
