So are you saying it would be better to use just 1 piece of hose from reservoir to drive unit straight through the transom? if so how would you go about getting a suitable seal, must admit this would save me a few quid as i have been quoted £36 for the pieces I need, not including the £17 for the hose (mercruiser dealer)Originally posted by Reelpoor:<br /> The fitting in question is not necessary.
