I have a 1992 Evinrude 70hp that cooked the top piston over the weekend. Sucked up mud at my crappy boat ramp. I looked at a 1984 Johnson Stinger 75hp today hoping I could get the whole engine. Well the stinger has a lower unit issue and the stinger trim/tilt is shot. My question is will my 1992 Evinrude accept the powerhead from the 1984 Stinger? Or would my lower unit from my Evinrude work with the Stinger if I wanted to rebuild the trim/tilt? Thanks in advance for the help!
