I just acquired this boat and have had to make adjustments to the winch stand to get placement correct. I think it's looking pretty good, but need help with safety chain. There is no current attachment point for the safety chain so I need some help determining where, how, and what hardware is needed. Thanks in advance!

Here is the current configuration:

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... a simple way to go would be to use abit longer bolt holding the winch, 'n put a length of chain on the bottom of it, 'n a hook to slip onto the bow eye,....
You'd need a longer bolt, 2 nuts, the chain, 'n the hook,.....

Thanks! Would that be strong enough for 3500 lb boat? I'm currently using grade 8 bolts so i'd replace the bolt with one an inch or two longer, place the washer and nut where they currently are to lock in the winch, then with the remaining length put a washer, chain link, another washer, and then another nut?

Ayuh,...... Plenty of strength in that installation,....

You've already got the winch strap, 'n the ratchet strap,..... you don't need a logging chain on there,..... ;)
