Help with seized Elto Pal

I picked up a Elto Pal 1938-41 1.1 hp that was a wall hanger for about 40 years. It is seized up. I have used Kroil, Silikroil,
Rust Eater, Rust Buster, Gibbs, PB Blaster, & Liquid Wrench. I personally dislike WD-40 as it gums up after drying.
Each of these have been sprayed/poured into the cylinder for 2/3 weeks then poured out and filled with another. The
piston is near the top and nothing seeps past it. After 3 months of soaking I used a compression tester hose and fitted it
with a Schrader valve and applied 120 PSI to force the penetrating mixture down the sides. After several hours I checked it and it was indeed dry indicating it went into the crankcase. For several days after that I had to constantly add PB Blaster etc. to keep it full, then magically it quit flowing again and has now been full for about a month without seeping out.

Except for the fuel tank, the little motor looks pretty good.

Any Ideas on how to loosen this up without ruining the engine?

Try ATF and Acetone mixed 50/50. Is the gear case seized up ??

For really stubborn motors, I have used a grease gun. Have a weld shop tack a zirk fitting onto the base of an old spark plug, then squirt the cylinder full of grease. Helps to have the cylinder free of the rest of the motor as you don't want to bend a rod or bust something inside if the piston isn't all that's stuck.

I would boil that one. For small powerheads, get an old crock pot (don't use the wifes :) ), pour a medium like antifreeze in it and cook the powerhead overnight.

Re: Help with seized Elto Pal

Sorry about the delay, finally got mother back home. I did mange to get it loose. The process I went through was to dissemble the unit and boil in antifreeze, no luck. I the fashioned a grease zerk fitted into a spark plug, that moved it easily using a grease gun until it got to the exhaust port. Further soaking had no visible benefit. I then filled cylinder with transmission fluid and touch of gas. I had it tilted so as to maximize the fluid in the cylinder to keep it from running out of the exhaust ports. I then lit the mixture and let it burn out. I repeated fill and burn once more after which the piston came free and rotated easily. After further dis-assembly and inspection the jug and the piston both appear to be in great shape. The rings are free and provide good compression. Will have to make the gaskets to reassemble. The only reason that I could determine to cause the seizure was varnish
