I own a 1990 Rinker 206 Captiva, 20 ft 6in, which originally had a Merc. 5.7L, but has recently been replaced with a chevy 350 with marine racing pistons and heads. It moves!!! I just bought this boat from my brother-in-law. After taking it out this weekend, we found out that the shifter linkage is not correctly adjusted. The boat shifts into neutral and reverse without a problem, but to put it in forward, the engine cover needs to be opened and then the shift linkage needs to be pushed and then the boat engages into gear. Does anyone know how to adjust this to the correct settings? Any help would be great!!!
