I'm going to be purchasing new st radials this year. I'm hearing all the ST tires are made in China now. Any good brand or bad brands I should know about? Any help is appreciated.

I bought 5 Kumbo ST tires from Tire Rack last year. They're made in Korea, and look
very well made. I've not had any problems with them. I'd trust quality control in Korea
(look how well the Hyundai cars rate now) over China...

Where they are made is of little matter.

What is important is to what standards are they manufactured to?

I think that you are going along the right road by going with radials. I bought 2 new Tow Masters from Discount Tire and have used them for about a year with no problems. I battled with the decision to pay $30 more per tire for Goodyear Marathons but since both were made in China I went with the least expensive deal. I researched the heck out of it before I made the decision and the only one with consistant bad reviews was Carlisle. Trailer tires threads seem to be like motor oil threads, everyone has a favorite and one they hate. Some Marathons are still made in America if that is the route you want to go. TireRack lists the sizes and the country of origin. Kuhmo makes good tires as gozierdt stated, I belive that they come with higher weight ratings as well. Good luck in your quest.

I have a set of Kenda Load Star tires, they are 7 years old and look great, no cracks, no bulges, etc. They are made somewhere in Asia but I don't know for sure where. I do know that they come standard on most Load Rite and Venture trailers, I'd buy them again....
