HELP zipper broke..

have a good gore-tex very warm hooded jacket.. an the zipper broke..<br /><br />it's that YKK heavy knuckeld nylon zipper tracks zipper..<br /><br />the tracks seem in good shape.. it's the zipper head driver that opened up some an wont blend the 2 tracks together.. <br /><br />pinch with pliers .. works great a few times then fails..<br /><br />anyone know if new driver can be bought an installed.. ?? or a place to send to for repair..??<br /><br />thanks..

I think you should just have the entire zipper replaced.... I don't believe they sell the parts.

Most laundry or dry cleaning services do repairs like that. Check your local phone book.

yeah, and you might want to provide the zipper yourself to make sure its as close to what you had.<br />also maybe you can rework the head so it may blend a little better. also try applying sipper wax to the track...maybe it will work..?

Pinch with pliers after rubbing the zipper down with a chapstick or candle.That should keep it zipping better for a while.Charlie

I've had many winter coat zippers replaced over the years at the local tailor's, for around $20. Didn't take long either, good luck.

Ayuh,......<br />My Lady Love's sister is a Upholsterer,..... She has Zippers on a Roll,+ the cute little Pliers to crimp the ends.......... :D
