Newbie here...So I've been looking to buy my first boat for a while now. Finally found a 91 Ski Centurion. I looked at it back in October, and decided to keep looking around. So I finally decided to go with this boat, so today I go over to look at it again, just to give it a once over before I buy it. I go to the dealership and go out to the boat which has been sitting outside, pull the cover off and the interior of the boat is full of ice, to the bottom of the cushions, so about 6-8" All the way from the bow to the stern and I obviously couldn't get the engine cover open to look inside.
How bad is this? I talked to a friend that has a boat, and he told me to walk away....Thanks for your input in advance.

Re: Help!

Too Bad it wasn't stored a little better.

If there is that much ice/water in it there are a lot of potential issues. Rot in the stringers and floor would be the worst. Mechanical and electrical issues would probably be something you would have to deal with.

Ayuh,...

That's danm Good Advice,....

It's almost hard to believe a Dealership doesn't know enough to store boats with the bilge plug Out, so it coulda drained...

Re: Help!

Yeah that is what I was thinking....and they had no idea when I told the salesman...."how much ice" was his response, then tried to play it off like it wasn't a big deal....the boat is a consignment....some owner is gonna be angry....
