I bought an old 80’s something Crestliner Muskee 550 I think.. I’m so new to this stuff. I bought it for very cheap and knew I was going to have to put work into it. The floor was shot and the stringers were just as bad so I cut out the bad stuff and the stringers the cradles where the stringers were so it basically a blank slate. Now my question is what type of wood should I use for my stringers and for the floor? And also should I spray some foam down between the stringers and what type of finish should I use on it? I’m going to use it to catfish out of so I’m thinking a rhino liner or Bedliner something easy to spray off still have grip or traction when wet thank you in advance I seriously am in over my head.

It is me from facebook. welcome here.
First check the transom make sure it isnt rotted. It probably is.

I used exterior grade plytanium from lowes. It is the better grade fewest viods of what they sell. For the bulkheads and transom.

I used dimensional pine for stringers. Same as it had factory.

You need to grind that mess. you will get there.
