I have a 1992 mercury 200efi. About 3 weeks ago I was on the water when the motor just died. I was running about 2000 rpm’s when it happened. I trolled to the ramp loaded and when I got the cowl off I noticed the voltage regulator was burnt. So I replaced both voltage regulators with new ones. Still no start new trigger and stator and switch boxes. All tested bad. I got fire back to the plugs but still no start. I’m at a loss. It was running fine before I so I assume the fuel is still good. Keep seeing something about idle control module. Any help will be appreciated.

Make sure that battery is tip top. All efi things need loads of sure thing power, so they can crank and fire at the same time. Often the cranking takes a fair load away from the rest and it just won’t go.
