I am looking to purchase a battary for use with a 30 lb thrust trolling motor and a fish finder. First queston can i use both with only 1 battary and second queston does any body have advise on size of battary. I own a 14 ft flat bottom and will be fishing on fairly strong river current if that helps. mikeandronda@juno.com Thank you.

Mike,<br /><br />Sure you can. The fishfinder will use very little current.<br /><br />By the biggest 12V deep cycle battery you can find, 105 amp/hr. or better.

Mike<br />If you only have one battery then yes you can run on same battery but if run battery down too far fish finder will not work. I would get a group 27 deep cycle. Also recharge battery asap when you get home.
