I had no idea I was going to get a boat a couple days ago. I was scrolling through Craigslist and went a nd picked up this beauty. She is a 1973 CEE BEE Manufacturing, Avenger. She is powered by a sweet running Mercury 850 Thunderbolt. However.... I am in the wonderful process of redoing the deck. All stringers but one are in dry, sturdy condition. The transom is still very firm too.

Thought I might share my progress with you guys, as I am learning a lot from your endless library here.

Looks fast on the trailer...ha. Yes she does, I agree. Unfortunately that's where she is sitting for a while. I am trying to make out all the advice on the deck repair. (there is much). But the list is bigger than that.

Gas tank and related accesories, starting battery and new cables, accessory battery, tires, lights for both trailer and boat, bilge pump, gauges, engine maintenance, required safety equipment, slick paint job. She is a complete restoration project. I took the boat because it is small enough to not be out of control on repair costs.

Immediate focus is on getting her deck glassed, battery and tank to drop her in the water and see what I've got here.

Cutting the old fiberglass sux a lot!! Oh the dust!!
