This may sound crazy but how is your timing chain? Ive seen chains that were so stretched that they would hit the timing cover and make a tapping sound.Try the hose trick there. To check the stretch turn engine over by hand until you see a valve starting to open or close.Now turn the crank back and the valve should do the opposite. If you have to turn more then a degree or two then your chain might be stretched.

i have worked on several with something that got on top of the piston.on some of them the noise would come and go as the piece moved around on top of the piston. then there were others that the piece was embedded in the top of the piston and did not come and go but they all made a distinct sound like what i heard in your video. good luck

Sounds like a cam issue. Thrust plate, or cam walking. Maybe you should get a cam button.<br />-- Joe

Fluk.....<br /><br />No chains on these engines, geared timing.
