:facepalm:I posted earlier and I am still in a Jam.....Trim and Tilt wires........Blue wire is for up, Check....Green wire is for down,Check.... From the harness going into the outboard from the throttle there is a heavier guage RED wire that is hot (on a test light when the batteries are attached).......Where does that attach too? Thank you all in advance!

I have reserved myself to the fact that I must smell or something? I don't think Iboats forums have ever let me down before?

Your green from trim motor attaches to down solenoid and blue to up solenoid. You should have a same guage red from these to the positive side of of starter solenoid.

Re: Hey all, 1989 75HP Mariner PT-T wireing problem

Starter solenoid has only 2 wires, one in and one out. However coming from the boat side of the harness I have a pos red wire that has power ith no end on it....I am assuming that when the outbaord was removed this "bare hot wire" was not reconnected? Funny thing is that the boat turns over fine? So I assume the starter solonoid is correct? I am at a lose here.....I posted in a above thread that includes a schematic that more clearly explains the issue. If you could kindly look at that thread and see if that makes more sence I would be in your debt. Thank you for your responce!
