i found a direct number for starcraft if you call to get info ask for customer service the number is 1 574 831 2103 they are located in northern indiana i called them for info on my boat and they are sending me any and all info to me even a 74 brochure will up load when i get it hope this helps you guys get needed info on your boats

timbecht, thanks I called them this morning and they are supposed to send me a brochure.

I think the guy was smoking something, because he told me my hull weighed 951 lb. with out the motor and the motor weighed around 900 lb. I?m almost certain my boat with motor should be 951 lb.

Um Jeff your boat weighs around 951 pounds with no motor on it and no gas in the tanks aaaand no water in the foam .

Many years ago I junked a Olds big block and if memory serves me correct I think it only weighed in at 800 lb.

LOL Jeff I actually watched a BIG OL HOSS bear hugg a 455 once it was the $35.00 all you can carry day at the local pull a part junk yard . I actually managed to carry a full front clip for an 80 gutlass that day myself ( I waas younger then ) .

LOL Yep Scott an entire 455 up off the ground and then he had to carry it 100' in order to get it for $35.00 . I have had several Oldmobiles over the years starting with my first car which was a 71 442 . I am more into old fords but I still wouldnt mind finding a 71 442 droptop again someday ( that I could actually afford ) LOL.

It's nice to know Starcraft is helping out people with product they sold 30+ years ago. I work in the automotive industry, and let me tell you, that is rare.

An Oldsmobile 455 weighs well over 600lbs. If Hoss picked that up and carried it 100', he shouldn't have to pay anything. The heaviest Atlas stones that The Worlds Strongest Man competion guys carry are 352lbs, and they STRUGGLE.

a 71 442 ???? uggggghhhhh you are killing me rick lol. when i was in school i worked on dairy farm that was also a bed and breakfast. there was an olds meet some where in the area and we had several olds at the farm. one was a 71 442 convert. red with black racing stripes this thing was gorgeous and mint. that was back in like 88 or so and he was asking 20 grand for it then. i cant remember the mileage .. under 20000 and it was an all original car.. beautiful. i love older oldsmobiles ..65-71 era. now theres a motor to drop into a starcraft ... 350 rocket ORRRR even better a 455 think she would float ??? lol

sweet, im gonna call tomorrow and see if i can get a brochure for my jupiter.

that gives me an idea, maybe all that get a brochure can scan them and we will start a thread here and all post them

Tim thanks for the tip I called today and got voicemail will try again tomorrow . I think its Kewl they actually still have the old brochures and are willing to give them out . Maybe we should invite them to Tinstock .

well i posted that number cause i was having a hard time finding info on my fiberglass starcraft bass boat and thought others could benifit from my research

and i am glad some of you guys have taken advantage of that number may be a mod could put it in a sticky thread for future need and a sticky for brochures too

Rick when I spoke to the guy his name escapes me but he said he only had one brochure for my boat, but he would be glad to make a copy and put it in the mail for me.
