Ok, I know there is a lot more to this than what I did, but it worked.

I have a 25P, 14.25, four blade Turbo that I thought was a 27P. I even told everyone here that it was, My Bad, thats what I get for taking someone elses word for it when all I had to do was look on the hub.

Anyway, It was a pig out of the hole, but was the fastest prop I had tried to date, except it was dragging the engine down a bit and would only turn about 5,200 RPMs.

I drilled the vent holes out from 5/16 to almost a half inch. Big difference, I also sharpened the leading edges of each blade a little. They were quite blunt. Now it is awsome out of the hole, and turns about 5,500 RPMs. I didnt have my GPS with me and my speedo is not at all accurate, so I really do not have speed info right now, but I think I will be using this prop from now on. Now I need to raise the engine one hole and test agin with the GPS this time. I know I can raise the engine because I cant over trim as it is. Wow, what a roostertail though!

Actually I am guessing, I never even looked at what I actually used. You are right, I know it wasnt a 1/2" now that I think about it again. I know the holes were more than 1/4" when I started and somewhere less than 1/2" now. However, the stock holes on my high five prop are every bit 1/2" or maybe even larger. I do know that the mods I made had a huge effect, I was seriously thinking of selling this prop, now its my favorite. Now I think I will sell the HighFive.

Easy to figure if you know the speed at 5200rpm.

50mph 5200
____ X _____

X mph 5500

(50x5500)/5200= speed now

there you go.
