The regional farm supply store just started carying Amsoil.
Which one should I be using in my outboards, 4 hp Merc, 15hp Johnson, and 70 hp Force?

The labels seem to indicate that either would be fine to use, but there is a price difference.

Saber or HPI ??

I have not run the new Saber in anything yet, I did however in the past use the old 100:1 at about 80:1 and it worked great in a 75ish 85 Evenrude on a Bass Boat and ran the living you know what out of it. Dont mix any richer than that though. I now run the HP in my Merc 150 and it has been fine all last year. I dont really know what to tell you, either is fine. If the 100:1 mix ratio bugs you as it does some, use the HP at 50:1.

OK, thanks.

I had switched to the Pennzoil full syn last year, but now it is not available locally.

Store near me has the HPI for $18.50 a gallon.

Decent price, they are making about $3.50 a gallon over what you would pay if you were a dealer.

I guess having 30+ stores in 5 states gives them some bargaining power. And they team up with another 35+ store chain for even better purchasing power.

Amsoil doesnt give volume discounts no matter how much you buy. Everyone pays the same, Ill give them that!
