I bet that would work on my Merc too. Locking down the flywheel to get the nut is a bear. Hope I remember the next time it has to come off. Thanks guys.
I don't usually do this but I really think this deserves to be bumped. Tater used a socket. I happened to have a chunk of aluminum just the right size. Really though anything that fits in the gap between the land and flywheel teeth would probably do well. And remember: It also works for torqueing the nut to specs.
Dang! you would think Chrysler purposely put that land there and then never mentioned it in the manual.
