maybe he didn't realize it's meant for 2? Maybe he didn't care?

they also don't know that the closer to the dock, the easier to launch, load, etc. But it's funny when they get too close and can't open their car doors! (Confession: has happened to me on my 12' wide ramp. Is it easier to re-ramp, or climb out the window?)

Now THAT would be a sight to see!

Been there done that - still do. :D

Fortunately it appears to be a very slow day at that launch ramp.

I'm guessing since the lot was empty he was pretending the ramp was built just for him. You should blame yourself for showing up and ruining his wonderful daydream!

that ramp looks wide enough you could still get in beside him, so at least he isn't perfectly dead center!

It actually was pretty busy, the parking areas are off to both sides, and the staging area is just to the left in that pic. there was 1 boat waiting to launch, and 3 boats behind me waiting to go in. there is no courtesy dock, so if both side are tied up you just kind of putt around till theres an opening.

this launch is not very busy to begin with though, most of the boats on the lake are from camps. but yesterday was the first nice weekend, and there were probably 15-18 trailers in the lot.

what was worse is the guy took 15-20 min.

Ditto on the truck door thing. I'm sure it's funny watching this 285 lb guy try to squeeze out a half open door.

If it was backed up, guess the best thing would be to dock your boat and help him launch and let him know about the two-boat rule while doing so. Keeps things moving and you might make a new friend in the process.... granted a friend who can't backup a trailer to save his life:)

The crazies at my local launch ramp would probably try launching 4 boats in that much space and maybe one jetski in the middle. :D

If nobody else is around and needing the ramp I don't see an issue. However on a busy day that would be another thing.

Thats just it, you cant see in the pic the boats waiting to launch, and the boats behind me waiting to come in. there is no courtesy dock, no beach. when you pull in, you dock right there. get your trailer and pull out.

this guy took 20 min to get the boat in the water.
